Dave Magadanz started Riverside Tool and Carbide in 1989 as a small sharpening business in his garage. As business grew and space became a problem, a new building was built in 1991 at 1907 Mill Street New London WI.

On June 28th, 2024 Dave retired and sold the business to one of his longest employees Jason Flease. Jason has worked for Dave since he graduated high school in 2008. It has always been Dave and Jason’s dream for Jason to one day take over the business. Dave has taught Jason everything he knows and Jason has helped Dave grow the business to what it is today.

Sharpening tools and blades are very cost-effective versus always purchasing new ones. Riverside can sharpen anything you need to give you an edge over your competition.

We will never grow too big to sharpen customers’ kitchen knives or lawn mower blades. We are small enough to take in walk-ins from the community. Yet large enough to work with big corporations. We are a small-town business ready to serve all our customer’s needs, large or small.
